Résumé

One of the keys to professional success is developing transferable skills that outlast the software upgrade cycle. This is particularly true when it comes to the color reproduction process. Digital Color Correction outlines a platform-independent, cross-disciplinary system for producing the best possible color images for print and the Web. Based on the author's extensive experience training industry professionals, this cutting-edge resource instills confidence in a designer's ability to evaluate, digitize, repair, and adjust any color image, whether working in Adobe® Photoshop®, a freeware application such as the GIMO, or on a scanner.

Digital Color Correction defines precisely what constitutes an optimal image and lays out a system for intelligent evaluation of images and rapid optimization that virtually anyone can follow. In an era of tight deadlines and even tighter margins, readers will welcome their newfound capacity to quickly and correctly produce great-looking images from mediocre original, while ensuring that professionally produced images are preserved through proper color-editing choices.
