L'auteur - Timothy Samara
Élevé dans une famille d'artistes, Timothy Samara a commencé à dessiner dès son plus jeune âge. Grâce à un soupçon de talent, un encouragement considérable de la part de ses parents et l'influence de directeurs artistiques rencontrés à l'agence photographique de son père, il a étudié le graphisme à l'University of the Arts de Philadelphie. Après ses études, il a consacré sa carrière à l'identité visuelle, l'identité de marque, la communication graphique et la typographie. Depuis 2000, il partage son temps entre sa pratique professionnelle et le monde universitaire, où il a acquis une solide réputation en tant qu'enseignant dans divers établissements : School of Visual Arts, Parsons (New School for Design), SUNY Purchase et Fashion Institute of Technology dans l'État de New York, ainsi que l'University of the Arts à Philadelphie.
Il est l'auteur de nombreux ouvrages consacrés au graphisme, qui sont utilisés par les étudiants et les professionnels du monde entier. Timothy Samara vit à Brooklyn, New York.
